Power lines, phone lines, sewer, water, and the Internet all run through our mountain.  And we're working harder every day to make it better for you.

Garrett County business and industrial sites are equipped with public water and sewer, natural gas and three-phase 12.47 KV electrical service.

Allegheny Power provides local electrical service with a small area in northern Garrett County serviced by the Somerset Rural Electric Cooperative.

The County and the incorporated municipalities are continually renovating and upgrading their public water and sewer systems.

Our local telecommunications carrier is Verizon Communications-MD.  Long distance carriers include AT&T, MCI, Sprint and over 250 additional carriers and resellers of WATS and MTS.

There are multiple Internet service providers and the County is actively seeking to increase its broadband capabilities.
