Airports:
The
Garrett County Airport is currently equipped for small aircraft, but plans for the future include a runway expansion to 5,000 feet to handle corporate jets.

The Cumberland Regional Airport also offers a 5,000-foot runway and is equipped for corporate jets.

At the Morgantown, WV, and Hagerstown, MD Regional Airports, connector service is available to the larger metropolitan facilities.

Pittsburgh International is 2 hours away. Washington Dulles International, Ronald Reagan Washington National and Baltimore-Washington International are within a 3-hour drive.

Railways:
There is an active CSX rail line in the County. A rail link can be developed at the Southern Garrett Business and Technology Park east of Oakland for businesses that require rail access.

Highways:
I-68 provides easy access to the County from I-79 to the west and I-70 and I-81 to the east. US Rt. 219 bisects the County north to south and provides connections to Pennsylvania and West Virginia. Several state roads traverse the County and provide good routes to all developed areas.
