CHAMBER OFFERING ELECTRICITY BUYING POOL PROGRAM
The Garrett County Chamber of Commerce is once again offering an option to local businesses in the Allegheny Power service area. The market for the supply of power has become very competitive. Local businesses are now receiving solicitations from energy providers through telemarketing and the mail. Trying to sort through the offers and make the best choice can be overwhelming. Four years ago, the Chamber developed an energy cooperative to assist members in purchasing electricty in a deregulated market. That initial cooperative's contract ended last June, and last year the Chamber made arrangements with Premier Power Solutions to offer personal services to their fellow Chamber businesses. Lee McCracken and his team of energy experts at Premier Power are again offering one-on-one customer service to Chamber businesses. If you are a current member of the Garrett Chamber-sponsored electric pool, you will be receiving pricing options within the next couple of weeks. If you are not currently a member and would like to join the pool this year, all you need to do is complete the attached Pool Membership Form and Letter of Authorization. Once completed, the forms are returned directly to Premier Power with a copy of your latest electric bill. The company will analyze your account and then contact you to discuss your options. There is no obligation or cost to receive this Chamber benefit, however, you must be a member of the Chamber and your business must be located in Maryland to participate.
