Garrett Regional Medical Center (GRMC) officials will hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony Wednesday, January 23rd, at 10:00 a.m. for its new Regional Behavioral Health Center. The facility is located in the lower level of Dr. Daniel Miller’s office at 69 Wolf Acres Drive, Oakland.

Congressman David Trone is expected to attend the event.

The center provides comprehensive behavioral health counseling and addictions treatment for people throughout GRMC’s three-state, eight-county service area.

Provided in conjunction with the WVU Medicine Department of Behavioral Health & Psychiatry, the center’s staff includes a mental health nurse practitioner, master’s level addiction counselors, a master’s level social worker, and a licensed practical nurse.

Patients receive primary care health screenings, such as blood pressure and body mass index checks, in addition to counseling care.

The center is open Monday through Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Walk-in clients are welcome. Sessions with individual counselors are also available by appointment. For more information, call 301-533-2190.
