Getty will work closely with business clients to provide financial services and expertise within Garrett and Allegany counties and surrounding markets.

Getty has 38 years of banking and financial services experience. She served as market president for Allegany and Garrett counties and Bedford County, Pa.; regional president and managing director of retail banking; and vice president of commercial banking in Allegany County for a regional financial institution.
Prior to that, she served as credit review examiner, vice president and unit head of a syndication group, loan production office manager, special industries group manager, and manager for a Baltimore County lending group.
“I have been a bank specialist in Western Maryland for 24 years, and I spoke with Carissa Rodeheaver about an opportunity for a position they were creating for a bank director of business relationships,” Getty said. “It’s everything I love to do. I want to use this experience to build relationships and help the businesses of Garrett County achieve their dreams.”
Getty earned her master’s degree in business administration from Loyola College and a bachelor’s degree in business administration in finance from the Georgetown University School of Business Administration.
She has a history of community involvement and has been a leader in numerous initiatives. She has served on many local boards throughout her career, including United Way campaign chairwoman, president of the YMCA Heritage Foundation, chairwoman of the City of Cumberland Economic Development Commission, member of the Board of Education Curriculum Committee and chairwoman of the Greater Cumberland Committee.
“I hope to continue to bring about economic vibrancy in the area and to help customers take advantage of important economic trends that will help to make our area stronger,” Getty said.
In recognition of her community involvement and leadership, Getty has received several awards and honors, including Volunteer of the Year by the county United Way and the Henrietta Schwarzenbach Civic Service Memorial Award from Dapper Dan, and she was also named one of Maryland’s Top 100 Women by The Daily Record and the Paul Harris Fellow by the Rotary Club of Cumberland.
She also received the Community Caring Award from the United Way of Allegany County and “The Greater Good Award” from the the Greater Cumberland Committee, served as the WalkAmerica chairwoman for the March of Dimes and is a graduate of Leadership Maryland.
Getty resides in Cumberland with her husband, Allegany County Circuit Judge Jeffrey S. Getty.
