Private Applicator Pesticide License Requirements

Farmers who have a Private Applicator License with the Maryland Department of Agriculture must renew their license every three years by attending an approved two-hour training course.
The University of Maryland Extension Office will offer two recertification training opportunities in December for anyone who needs to recertify:
--December 11th at the Grantsville Library
--December 18th at the University of Maryland Extension, Garrett County Office
Both sessions will be held from 6:00 to 8:00p.m. there is no a cost to attend.

All farmers wishing to apply restricted use pesticides to land that they own or manage, need a Private Applicator License issued by the Maryland Department of Agriculture. In order to obtain the license, farmers must pass a written exam.
The University of Maryland Extension Office will offer exam preparation training on January 15th, from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the Garrett Garrett Office
The Garrett County exam date proctored by MDA will be set after the training.
