The Mtn. Fresh Producers Association of Garrett County will hold a series of winter farmers’ markets, beginning Nov. 18 and running throughout the winter and spring. These markets will be a continuation of the Mtn. Fresh series held in downtown Oakland throughout the summer months.
As with the summer market, this producers-only event will feature local vendors offering items such as eggs, meats, baked goods, winter storage crops and other seasonal produce, and crafts.
The Winter Market will be held at the Mary Browning Senior Center, located in the Community Action building, which is the former Center Street School building on the corner of Center and First streets. The Mary Browning Center is in the back, opposite the alley from the Ruth Enlow Library.
The Winter Market will take place 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Nov. 18, Dec. 9 and 23, Jan. 6 and 20, Feb. 3 and 17, March 3, 17 and 31, April 14 and 28, and May 12.
