The Small Business Administration's Office of Advocacy recently released a new fact sheet, "Dissecting Access to Capital."  The data used in the fact sheet was derived from newly-released data from the U.S. Census Bureau’s Annual Survey of Entrepreneurs to answer the top questions about how businesses are financed.

The fact sheet presents how much and where businesses receive their financing as well as how many businesses are seeking new financial relationships. Among other findings, the fact sheet reveals the importance of personal financing by owners for businesses to start and continue to stay open.
