The Garrett County Chamber of Commerce’s next Business Before Hours is scheduled for Tuesday, November 21st, beginning at 8:00 a.m. at Wisp Resort, McHenry. Andreas Weissenborn, Director of Research and Analytics at Destinations International, will present a program on national and Maryland tourism trends.
“We are very pleased to have a speaker the caliber of Mr. Weissenborn to provide our members with an update on national and statewide tourism trends,” said Nicole Christian, chamber president and CEO. “Tourism in Garrett County has seen considerable growth in the last few years, but it’s important to know what is on the horizon. We want to help Garrett County businesses be prepared by having an idea of what to expect in regard to tourism trends and opportunities for growth in the hospitality industry.”
Weissenborn spent about 11 years with Visit Baltimore in its Research, Technology, and Information Systems department. In 2017, he joined Destinations International.
“Destinations International strives to make our members and their destinations successful,” its website states. “As the world’s largest and most reliable resource for destination organizations, we inform, connect, inspire, and educate our members with the goal to drive destination economic impact, job creation, community sustainability, and quality of life through travel.”
The November Business Before Hours is sponsored by First Peoples Community Federal Credit Union and Taylor-Made Deep Creek Vacations & Sales.
