New legislation passed during the 2015 Maryland General Assembly lifting some of the requirements regarding Sunday alcohol sales takes effect July 1, 2015.
For restaurants holding a valid liquor license and located in an area of the county that permits on-premise alcohol sales on Sundays, there will no longer be a food sale requirement to purchase alcohol on Sundays between the hours of 1:00 and 10:00 p.m. The restaurants must have seating for at least twenty patrons and a menu available with a kitchen open and able to serve a full-course meal.
