Are you looking for a way to update your personal style or home décor, but don't want to spend a lot of money? Do you own something of value and don't want to just give it away, but are unsure of how to sell it yourself? Round Again Consignment Shop can help you do both!
Round Again, owned and operated by Anita Murphy Kitzmiller and located along Route 219 in Accident, offers a variety of new or gently used inventory for your home and garden, as well as a large selection of clothing and accessories for every member of your family, at one-third or less what you would pay retail. Opened just last summer, Round Again has quickly become a popular shopping destination for young and old.
Anita, who also owns Just Us Salon, had always wanted to operate a shop like this, so when space opened up adjacent to her salon, she and her husband, James, took the opportunity to expand and open the area's first consignment shop.
Round Again features a wide variety of goods with everything from brand name designer clothing and accessories to furniture, home goods, and even antiques. Anita offers a wide variety of clothing for both women and men, in sizes all the way up to 4X. "A lot of retail stores don't carry the larger sizes so that's a big bonus for our customers," says Anita. There is a complete room devoted to children with clothing ranging in size from Newborn and up, plus toys, shoes, games, and more.
There is also a special room above the salon just for girls and women's dresses, including short and long dresses perfect for that special occasion. There's even a dressing room so you can make sure you have captured the perfect look. Many local girls purchase their prom gowns at Round Again, where a little bit of money can go far. Be sure to stop by on April 11th for an exceptional dress sale. All dance and formal wear will be offered at even further reduced prices...a perfect opportunity to create an elegant and unique look for your next special event.
And don't forget accessories! Anita also carries a nice selection of shoes (most rarely if ever worn), handbags, and gorgeous jewelry. She generally only holds onto inventory for 30 - 60 days, at which time she gives it back to the original owner or donates it to charity (depending on the client's wish of course). That means her inventory is constantly revolving and new bargains can always be found.
Round Again also features an array of home wares, décor items, and art. These discounted goods are a great way to not only freshen up your home for a minimum amount of money, it also helps to reduce what's in our landfill by recycling and re-using, not wasting. There is a large inventory of bar ware, as well as drinking glasses available. A few of the local restaurants have purchased their glassware from Round Again, and it's also perfect for rental property owners who have to restock households each season.
The shop also has canisters, appliances, even bedding on sale. "Between furniture, kitchen ware, and décor, you could furnish your home from treasures we have in the shop," explains Anita.
But if you're expecting to find just traditional flea market / garage sale items, you'll be surprised. Anita has a nice selection of primitive pieces, including wreaths, crocks, and other décor. You'll also find lots of useful antiques, something Anita has always been interested in. There's also a more modern selection, including cast iron skillets, boots, scarves, cowboy hats, bird houses, and seasonal décor. Anita also has a nice selection of estate jewelry, including Cameos and the larger jewelry that's so popular right now. The most unique thing she's seen so far? An English saddle; but every day is a new discovery.
Round Again Consignment Shop is open Tuesday through Saturday and is located at 203 South Main Street (Route 219) in Accident, across from Hartman's Liberty Gas Station. Be sure to like their Facebook
