A unique business will open soon in Oakland. Autumn Newcomb-Shay will hold the grand opening for The Wine & Martini Bar this Saturday, April 25, at 3:00 p.m.
Located in the lower level of the Oakland Golf Club, 433 North Bradley Lane, The Wine & Martini Bar will be open on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays from 3:00 to 9:00 p.m.
Autumn has completely remodeled the downstairs area for the new bar, which also features a retail shop. A variety of wines and martinis, plus premium draft beers, will be available for guests to enjoy.
A selection of cold appetizers - including cheese plates, meat and cheese plates, hummus, bruschetta, and caprese salads - have been selected to complement the beverages.
Autumn has chosen six "house" wines that guests may purchase by the glass. Numerous other wines may be purchased by the bottle from the retail shop's large inventory and enjoyed at the bar or at home.
A "Country of the Month" will be featured at wine tastings, to be held the first Saturday of each month. Guests are invited to "take a flight around the world to a different country each month" by purchasing a flight of wine and a paired appetizer for $10.
More information about The Wine & Martini Bar and retail shop is available by calling (301) 616-4830.
Autumn has also revamped the menu at The Sand Trap, located above the bar at the Oakland Golf Club. The Sand Trap kitchen opened for the season last Friday and is now open seven days a week from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Sandwiches, wraps, appetizers, and salads are currently available. Full dinners and pastas will be added to the menu starting in May. And back by popular demand is Seafood Night, set for Friday evenings starting on May 1.
Entertainment will be provided on the patio every Saturday, starting next month, from 8:00 to 11:00 p.m.
The Sand Trap will again hold guest bartender nights on Thursdays to help raise funds for local charities. Thousands of dollars have been garnered for local groups through this event.
For more information about The Sand Trap, persons may call (301) 334-2233.
Autumn invites area residents and visitors to "dine upstairs and then wind down" at the new Wine & Martini Bar.
