Interim Report on State Business Climate Released

The most important change recommended by a commission assigned to examine and make recommendations to improve Maryland’s business climate won’t cost a buck.
“... it demands a cultural change within the state away from its perceived image of being unfriendly to business. Cultural changes are of course difficult to implement — but they depend on leadership, not money,” according to the interim report of the Maryland Economic Development and Business Climate Commission
, released February 12th. Delegate Wendell Beitzel, a member of the commission, said members found that the state’s unfriendly business climate is not just a perception, but a reality, reflected in the attitudes of state regulators.
