Here at Garrett County Economic Development, we're very passionate about our County and its people. We'd love a chance to speak with you further about what we have to offer your business and how our County can meet your specific needs. Jim Hinebaugh - Director: Jim is the Department's Director. He returned to Garrett County after a successful military career that spanned three decades. jhinebaugh@garrettcounty.org
Frank Shap - Assistant Director: Frank is the Department's Assistant Director. He is also the "office guru" when it comes to technology/telecommunications infrastructure development and workforce development. Frank represents Garrett County on several regional and state initiatives. A Garrett County resident since 2000, Frank is a native of Baltimore. He has an extensive engineering and business background. fshap@garrettcounty.org Meg Ellis - Project Manager: Meg oversees construction and infrastructure development projects. New and existing businesses can contact Meg if they plan to be involved in a building project. Meg also serves as the staff member on the Garrett County Development Corporation's loan committee. mellis@garrettcounty.org Cheryl DeBerry - Agriculture Marketing Specialist: Garrett County provides vast opportunities for alternative agriculture and natural resource-based industries. Cheryl is available to help farmers/entrepreneurs with all aspects of their rural business ventures. cdeberry@garrettcounty.org Kim Durst - Economic Development Specialist: A certified paralegal, Kim is responsible for data management, research, and administration. She is the County's Enterprise Zone Administrator and the County's Business Visitation Program Administrator. Kim also serves as staff for the Garrett County Development Corporation. kdurst@garrettcounty.org Sue Sharpless - Administrative Assistant: Sue manages the office and makes sure things run smoothly.
